iLASIK

What to expect the day of your iLASIK procedure

• Plan to spend 2.5 hours with us the day of your scheduled procedure.

• Arrange for a ride home from the procedure, since you should not drive immediately following iLASIK. For patients who live outside Orange County, complimentary hotel accommodations can be arranged through our office.

• Wear comfortable clothing for the procedure, eat a regular meal before the appointment and do not drink alcohol.

• Do not wear face makeup or perfume the day of your procedure.

• Soft contact lens wearers need to be out of their contacts for two days prior to the procedure. Gas permeable/hard contact lens wearers should be out of their contacts for two weeks prior to their appointment.

• All of our patients are encouraged to wear high quality, polarized sunglasses following their surgery.

• Recovery from iLASIK is a relatively quick process compared to other forms of surgery. However, you need to allow your eyes a good chance to heal after the procedure, which means you need to follow all the instructions given to you by Dr. Manger and his staff.

Want your loved ones to be nearby during the procedure? Members of your family are always welcome to accompany you to our office. They can even watch your procedure as you undergo iLASIK if they so desire. Traveling a long distance to have iLASIK? We will provide complimentary hotel accommodations for the night. A shuttle from the hotel will provide transportation to and from the office on the day of the procedure.
