Absolute doctor availability — only one location
Dr. Manger has been steadfast in his decision to have only one location so he can personally attend to every patient's needs. Dr. Manger does not believe that multiple-location centers operate in a patient's best interest. These centers generally have limited staff and technology, as both are spread out over many locations and their surgeons offer limited availability to their patients.
In fact, at many such centers, patients never meet the surgeon until they walk into the laser suite for surgery. At Saddleback Eye Center, Dr. Manger personally examines your eyes, performs your procedure, and is always available for you. You are never passed along to another doctor or center.

As the surgeon and founder of Saddleback Eye Center, Dr. Manger believes in making medical decisions based on his patients' needs, not the needs of a large corporation whose main concern is their bottom line. The industry's most comprehensive diagnostic exam
Many LASIK surgery centers conduct a brief 30-45 minute "consultation" consisting of 2-3 tests, where the main emphasis is to financially qualify the patient for surgery. At Saddleback Eye Center, Dr. Manger routinely conducts an extensive diagnostic exam consisting of 14 different tests — a process that forms the groundwork for producing the outstanding results for which he is known.
Never any sales pressure
Not everyone is a good candidate for LASIK — a good LASIK surgeon will reject approximately 20% of all applicants due to health factors of their eyes. We promise to be very honest with you; if you are not a candidate for LASIK, we will let you know why we do not recommend surgery. If you are an excellent candidate for LASIK, it is then up to you to decide on your next step.
