Hiep Nguyen, O.D.

Dr. Hiep Nguyen graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in biochemistry. After working for two years as a radiation oncology research scientist at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center, he completed his graduate studies at the Southern California College of Optometry, earning a Doctorate degree in optometry. Dr. Nguyen received the distinctive Dr. Irvin M. Borish Award and the Southwest Vision Services Scholarship.

Dr. Nguyen joined Saddleback Eye Center in 1993. As the Director of Optometry, he works closely in the clinic with Dr. Manger. He assists Dr. Manger with patient care for our refractive surgery patients and is an excellent resource for patients considering monovision correction.

Tim Liu, O.D.

Dr. Tim Liu graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in biology, and then went on to the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry for his Doctorate degree in optometry. Dr. Liu has practiced in the Bay Area and in Orange County. He has been working closely in the clinic with Dr. Manger since 2008, examining patients before and after their LASIK procedures. Dr. Liu is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

Mary Sciarra, O.D.

Dr. Mary Sciarra received her Bachelor's of Science degree in visual science from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1988 and her Doctorate degree in optometry in 1991. Upon graduating, Dr. Sciarra worked at different optometry and ophthalmology offices in Orange County. She has been working at Saddleback Eye Center since 1994, assisting Dr. Manger with patient care of his PRK and LASIK patients.
